Test & Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Full-time (38.5 hours/week) @headquaters

What we expect

  • Completed technical education (HTL, university or university of applied sciences) in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of practical professional experience in development, as well as in the verification and testing of complex systems.
  • Basic knowledge of design and engineering systems (e.g. SolidWorks).
  • Practical experience in developing scripts or software (e.g. Python, MATLAB) for test automation and data analysis.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills for communication in an international working environment.
  • Independent and precise working style, strong organizational skills, willingness to communicate, teamwork and the ability to think across disciplines.

Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to development projects, including projects for the aerospace industry, from initial concept through to final implementation.
  • Independently planning, conducting and documenting development and qualification tests.
  • Designing, developing and commissioning product- and project-specific test rigs.
  • Independently researching and coordinating detailed test and development requirements with internal interfaces and external testing institutes.
  • Regular participation in team meetings and reviews to present current development progress and test results to both internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of telescope systems and astronomy is an advantage, but not required.

Salary:
Annual gross salary starting from €50,000 (based on 38.5 hours/week). Depending on qualifications and professional experience, significantly higher compensation is possible.
