Scope. This document describes the influence of coating to the mirror surface quality. ASA has experienced that applying reflective coating onto a mirror does not have a significant influence onsurface quality. This has been proven by interferometrical measurements of several mirrors before and after coating. The following example shows the interferograms of an 800mm f2.5RCprimary mirror measured before and after coating.
