Urania Observatory in Vienna makes way for the new ASA600 telescope
Successful deinstallation
The existing instrument will be replaced by a modern reflecting telescope featuring a 60-centimeter primary mirror – the ASA600.
With four times the mirror area of the previous telescope, the new instrument opens up significantly greater possibilities for astronomical observation. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, precise tracking and high-performance optics, the ASA600 will enable detailed images and fascinating views of the night sky.
Excitement is already building at the Urania Observatory.
In particular, the telescope’s precise tracking capabilities and high optical performance promise exciting new observing opportunities for visitors and for the observatory’s astronomical activities.
The wait will soon be over: In November, the new ASA600 will take its place at the Urania Observatory in Vienna and begin turning its powerful optics towards the depths of the universe.
