Quantum Key Distribution with ASA600 on DDM200
In July 2025, an ASA600 telescope equipped with the DDM200 direct drive mount was delivered to Madrid for use in cutting-edge Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) research.
QKD enables the exchange of cryptographic keys using the principles of quantum physics, providing the foundation for ultra-secure global communication. The high precision and stability of ASA’s telescope and mount technology make it ideally suited for such pioneering applications.
